Hints, tips and prices

Because my cakes are bespoke, they are individually priced to meet your own personal requirements. Just let me know what you want & I’ll get a quote back to you.

However as a guideline, prices start at approximately £45 for a simply-decorated 8” celebration sponge or Madeira cake, £55 for an 8” boozy fruit cake, with 3D novelty cakes starting at £60. Individually Iced cupcakes start at £2.50with a minimum order of 12.

I’m sorry but I cannot state that my cakes are nut / dairy / gluten-free. If you require a “free-from” cake I am happy to do so, but it will be produced in the same kitchen as all my other cakes – but I will make it when I am not working on other cakes so there should be no cross-contamination.

You also need to be aware items such as flowers etc may contain wires as a necessary part of their construction – if this is the case though I shall always make you fully aware of anything on your cake that is not edible. Where-ever possible I try to make my cakes 100% edible.

I am happy to deliver free of charge within a 15 mile radius, or you can collect if you wish. Because many of these cakes are delicate I prefer not to put them in the hands of a carrier, so for a small delivery charge I am happy to deliver outside of 15 miles.

How much you will get out of a cake obviously depends on the size of the pieces, but as a general rule, sponge cakes are cut at 3” x 2” x 1”, and fruit cake is cut at 3” x 1” x 1”.

Tip - If you need extra portions consider a cutting cake which is generally a less expensive option than adding extra tiers.

So you know your cake is booked, I offer a Save the Date scheme, where a small non-refundable deposit (£50 for Wedding Cakes, £30 for all others) secures your date in my calendar and you can then come back to me a little later to confirm your final requirements.

I can incorporate any colours, flowers or themes to reflect your event, ensuring that your special cake is one that you will love. Obviously if you want fresh flowers or a very detailed design or model this is reflected in the price, but I will quote the full price so you know exactly what you are getting.
